Spring 2017 - NEW LOCATIONS:

LOCATION 1: Lutheran Church of the Covenant (February Class)

FREE Group Fitness Classes starts on Monday February 6th, and will occur every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays between 10-11AM. 

 

LOCATION 2: First Zion Baptist Church

FREE Group Fitness Classes starts on Monday February 27th, and will occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays between 9:30-10:30AM and 11AM. SIGN UP NOW!!!

Our first year (2015-2016) has been completed.  Full of success, positive comments, and outstanding outcomes.

Some comments from participants:

Friendly, cheerful leader. Class is very helpful… Stretch muscles, not normally used. Improved my mobility and balance. Most of all I enjoyed class very much. Looking forward for future classes.

Great class. Good for seniors for balance and coordination. Every senior center should have these classes. Hope you can continue to fund this class.

I thought the POISED program at Manassas Senior Center was outstanding because of the exercises, the instructor and the music. Many thanks to all who made it possible here.

Thank you for offering the fall risk class at Chinn Fitness Center. This was a fantastic class, well planned, carefully organized and tremendously useful and fun.

 

Outstanding Outcomes:

With our 8 week intervention, we have found that participants had:

- A decrease in the overall composite falls risk score, demonstrating decreased risk for falls.
